Network of the Zambian People living with HIV/AIDS (NZP+) is a national organization for the people living with HIV & AIDS (PLHA), established in 1996. It aims to improve the quality of PLHAs by pursuing three issues namely: Support, Communication and Representation of the PLHAs. NZP+ is a non-profit and non-governmental organization registered under section 7(I) of the Zambian societies Act.
The logic that is being followed is re-establish one’s self esteem and acceptance in the local community; from there, seeking health improvement and subsequently (re-) gain recognition as valued citizens, stakeholders in the fight against HIV & AIDS, and self determining economically productive members of society.
Our Mission: NZP+ is a membership based organization that promotes support to people living with HIV/AIDS, represents and advocates for their interests, facilitates the access to information and vital services, and encourages their own livelihood development.
Our Vision: The network envisages an improved quality of life for People Living with HIV & AIDS (PLHA’s) who are empowered and productive members of a well-informed HIV/AIDS competent community, free of stigmatization and discrimination.
